For my capstone project at Thomas More, our team was challenged to create a full marketing campaign for Visit.Brussels and present it through a custom-designed booth experience. The project combined strategy, creativity, and technology, and was evaluated directly by the Visit.Brussels team.
Campaign
We built the campaign around Belgium’s iconic comic strip culture, using beloved characters as “guides” through Brussels. This playful approach made exploring the city both immersive and memorable.
This blend of humor, local culture, and interactivity gave the campaign a strong identity and broad appeal.
The Booth Experience
The booth was designed to showcase both the campaign and its interactive elements: Comic-themed decorations that set the mood, iPads for exploring campaign visuals and materials and ofcourse a live VR installation, immersing visitors in Brussels with its comic heroes.
The booth was presented to the Visit.Brussels team, classmates and professors as a campaign launch prototype.
VR Experience
A key part of the booth was the creation of an immersive VR experience that brought Brussels’ streets and its iconic comic strip characters to life. The goal was to merge real-world locations with fantastical elements, letting users step into a playful version of the city where comics and reality collide.
To achieve this, I combined several innovative tools and techniques such as 360° Camera recording, Unreal Engine and even AI.

My Roles
I was responsible for several of the project’s core aspects:
- Campaign strategy and alignment with Visit.Brussels’ communication goals.
- Graphic design for posters, visuals, and booth branding.
- VR project design and execution, bringing comic characters to life in an immersive way.
- Technical setup, ensuring the booth functioned smoothly.
- Photography of the final presentation for documentation and evaluation.
